Refund & Cancellation Policy
Version 2026-06-13 · Effective June 13, 2026
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for tickets bought through TetherTickets. It is part of our Terms of Use.
Who sets the refund policy
TetherTickets is a ticketing platform; the event organizer (“Merchant”) runs the event and sets the refund policy for it. The Merchant's policy is shown on the event page before you buy. Unless the Merchant offers something more generous, the defaults below apply.
All sales are generally final
Because event capacity is limited and weather-dependent, tickets are generally non-refundable once purchased, except as described below or as required by law. Platform service fees and payment-processing fees are non-refundable.
If the Merchant cancels the event
If a Merchant cancels an event, every unredeemed ticket is invalidated and you will be made whole in one of these ways. The Merchant chooses whether to refund everyone automatically or to let each buyer pick:
- Refund to your original payment method.
- Account credit toward a future event.
- A rescheduled ride if the Merchant reschedules.
We will notify affected buyers by email and/or text. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Weather, wind, and safety stoppages
Tethered balloon rides depend on safe weather and wind conditions. If a ride cannot operate safely, the Merchant may delay, shorten, or cancel ride operations. How tickets are handled in that case (refund, credit, or rain-check for another day) is set by the Merchant's policy for that event.
No-shows and missed turns
If you do not arrive, do not check in when required, or are not present when called and your window passes, your ticket is not automatically refunded. For presale events your ticket generally remains valid for the rest of the event day even if your called turn is passed.
How to request a refund
Refunds are initiated by the Merchant or TetherTickets — there is no self-service refund button. To ask for one, contact the Merchant for your event or email [email protected] with your ticket code and order details. If a refund is approved, you will see its status on your tickets page.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can help. Filing a chargeback with your bank before contacting us can delay resolution and may result in the associated tickets being voided.
